Bats Flying Over the Moon Card

Bats Flying Over the Moon – A Spooky Box Card for Halloween!

When bats start flying across a cloudy moon, you know Halloween is right around the corner! 🎃 I had so much fun designing and making this Bats Flying Over the Moon Card, and I think you’re going to love it too. It’s a box card—which means not only is it a card, it also doubles as a cute little display for the whole spooky season!

A Card That’s a Mini Halloween Display

One of the things I love about box cards is that they’re like little paper dioramas. When folded flat, they slip right into an envelope. But once opened, they pop up and stand tall, becoming an instant decoration that can be enjoyed all October long.

I designed this card so it’s perfect to sit on a shelf or mantel—almost like a mini Halloween picture. It’s a great way to send a little seasonal cheer to a friend or loved one, or just to add to your own home décor.

Use Up Your Halloween Scraps!

This is also a fantastic scrap-buster project! You can make the overlays and embellishments using leftover Halloween cardstock. I used some cardstock from a Halloween pad I picked up at Michaels a while back, and it worked perfectly.

But don’t worry if you don’t have themed paper on hand—you can also make this card using plain cardstock in classic Halloween colors like black, gray, purple, and orange. Just mix and match layers for a fun dimensional effect!

Why Homemade Cards Are So Special

There’s something extra magical about handmade cards. When you make a card yourself, you’re giving more than just paper—you’re giving your time, creativity, and a little piece of your heart. ❤️

You can personalize your Bats Flying Over the Moon Card with a special message, spooky sentiment, or just a friendly Halloween greeting. It’s the kind of card people remember and want to display year after year.

So Let’s Get Crafting!

Grab your Halloween paper stash, fire up your Cricut or cutting machine, and get ready to make a card that’s spooky, fun, and full of heart. Whether you’re giving it as a gift or keeping it for yourself, this little batty box card is sure to bring smiles (and maybe a few playful chills!).

Happy Halloween and happy crafting!
🦇🌕 May your moon be bright, your bats be bold, and your glue sticks never run dry!
