Bees Are Buzzing

Summer is here and the bees are buzzing in our yard looking for the clover. I have created two projects with bees. The first is the Bee & Honey Comb that is a layered project that you can create to display in your tiered tray or add to a card.

  • bee and honey comb in design space
  • ****please note I save the various layers of the honey comb in different colors so that it would be easier to see the layers instead of making them all yellow
  • Then click on the Make It button
  • Next the screen wll appear that you select the mat size
  • and then click on continue
  • The prepare screen will appear with the various mat
  • bee and honey comb prepare screen
  • Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the yellow Cardstock I used is medium weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.
  • Please note when using regular vinyl that is not HTV (iron-on) you do not need to mirror it on the prepare screen. Don't forget when selecting the material type to select the correct type of vinyl you are using to cut out.
