Duck Insert Cards

Create These Duck Insert Cards

These duck insert cards are cute and easy to make card for a baby shower or to give with a gift for a new baby. There are two different designs of the Duck Insert Card.

Your can create the card in any color. I used yellow glitter cardstock for the insert piece in both cards.

  • 1 Sheet of Yellow Glitter Cardstock

Instructions

Cutting Out the Duck Insert Card

  • Upload the duck insert card into design space. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Select all and ungroup
  • Next select the dotted line
  • change to a score line
  • Next select the score line and card
  • and attach them
  • Now you are ready to click on the make it button
  • Next the prepare mat screen will appear.

Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the white Cardstock I used is medium weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.

Assembling the Duck Insert Card

  • Starting with the card
  • fold the card on the score line
  • Next take the insert piece
  • and put the corners of the insert piece through the slits in the card
