Make a Gorgeous Fall Pumpkin with Cardstock & Foil Cardstock

Fall is in the air—and that means it’s pumpkin season in the craft room, too! 🍂🎃 Today, I’m sharing a beautiful Fall Pumpkin SVG project that combines the warmth of autumn colors with the shimmer of gold foil cardstock. This pumpkin design isn’t just your ordinary gourd—it’s topped with leaves and sprigs, and the gold foil layer features the prettiest, most intricate leaf cutouts you’ve ever seen.

Fall Pumpkin

Whether you’re decorating for Thanksgiving, creating a fall centerpiece, or adding some seasonal charm to your mantel, this layered pumpkin is a showstopper. And the best part? It’s so much fun to make!

Supplies You’ll Need

  • My Fall Pumpkin SVG
  • Cricut or other cutting machine
  • Standard grip cutting mat
  • Cardstock in your favorite fall colors (think deep orange, rust, burgundy, olive green)
  • Gold foil card stock (for that stunning leaf layer)
  • Glue or double-sided tape
  • A little patience for those delicate cuts 😉

Let’s Make a Fall Pumpkin!

  1. Upload & Size Your SVG
Open the Fall Pumpkin SVG in Design Space (or your software of choice) and size it to fit your project—whether it’s going on a card, in a shadow box, or just hanging out as part of your fall décor.
  2. Cut the Layers
Cut your base pumpkin and leaf layers from solid cardstock in rich, autumnal tones. Then, load your gold foil cardstock and let your cutting machine work its magic on the intricate leaf layer. This is where the “ooh” and “ahh” factor really happens.
  3. Layer It Up
Start with the base pumpkin, then build up your layers, finishing with that delicate foil leaf piece on top. Use foam tape between some of the layers if you want extra depth and shadow—it makes the details pop even more!
  4. Add the Final Touches
The leafy sprigs at the top give the design movement and texture. You can even curl the ends slightly with your fingers for a more dimensional look.

Ways to Use Your Fall Pumpkin

  • Attach it to a card front for a cozy autumn greeting
  • Frame it as a piece of seasonal art
  • Add it to a fall wreath or banner

This project is the perfect blend of cozy fall vibes and elegant sparkle. The combination of cardstock and foil cardstock makes the pumpkin look like something straight from a boutique store—but you’ll know it was made right in your craft space, by you!

So grab your pumpkin spice latte, fire up your cutting machine, and let’s make some autumn magic together. 🍁✨
