Acrylic Hanukkah Ornaments
Looking to dress up your tree this Hanukkah? Try making some Acrylic Hanukkah Ornaments using your Cricut and vinyl with acrylic ornament blanks.
I have created several designs that I think will make beautiful ornaments for on your tree. You can even make these ornaments to give to friends and family by adding them on to their packages.

Cutting Out the Hanukkah Ornaments
- Unzip the download file.
- Then open up Design Space and start a new project.
- Click Upload and find where you saved the unzipped version of the downloaded files for this project.
Then go into the SVG Folder and select the SVG Files- the white circle is sized at 3 inches x 3 inches for the acrylic ornament blank
- the circle should be the same size as the ornament blanks that you are using to make sure the designs will fit
- once you have the ornaments designs to fit your blanks
- then hide or delete the extra circle that is used for size reference
- select all
- and click on
- to ungroup the driedels, select each dreidel separately
- and click on
- then select the words on the dreidel
- and click on
- do the same for the other dreidel
- next select the menorah and click on ungroup
- then select the orange flames
- and click on
- then select the yellow flames
- and click on
- Then click on the Make It button
- The prepare screen will appear
- Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the type of vinyl that you are using.
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.
Assembling the Hanukkah Ornaments
- Take the ornament blank and remove the outter film using a weeding tool
- next take the Star of David
- weed the star and then using transfer tape place it in the middle of the ornament
- next take another ornament blank and remove the outter film using a weeding tool
- then take the pieces for a dreidel
- the bottom layer
- using transfer tape place it on the ornament blank
- then take the blue layer of the dreidel
- using transfer tape place it in the middle of the bottom layer
- then take a set of the words
- and weed them
- using transfer tape place them in the middle of the blue layer of the dreidel
- next take another ornament blank and add the second dreidel to it, like the one you just completed
- and add these words
- next take another ornament blank and remove the outter film using a weeding tool
- then take the menorah and weed it
- using transfer tape add it to the ornament blank
- then take the star
- and using transfer tape place it on the menorah in the center
- next take the orange flames and weed them
- using transfer tape add them above the menorah
- then take the yellow flames and weed them
- using transfer tape add them on top of the orange flames
- Now you are ready to decorate your Hanukkah Tree or packages.
