Happy Passover Card

With Passover approaching the Happy Passover Card will make a great card to send to someone during this holiday season.

With Passover approaching you can create this Happy Passover Card using your Cricut and card stock for someone celebrating the holiday. Homemade card are always great to receive as they are made with the receiver in mind.

Tools you’ll need

  • Cream Cardstock
  • Light Blue Cardstock
  • Kraft Brown Cardstock
  • Light Brown Cardstock
  • Red Cardstock
  • Cricut Pen – Black
  • Cricut Pen – Moccasin (for wafer lines)
  • Barely Arts Glue
  • Foam Dots/Strips
  • Design #156 in Free Library

  • Standard Cutting Mat
  • Spatula
  • Scoring Wheel

Materials

  • Cream Cardstock
  • Light Blue Cardstock
  • Light Brown Cardstock
  • Kraft Brown Cardstock
  • Foam Dots/Strips
  • Glue
  • Cricut Pen – Black & Moccasin

Instructions

Cutting Out the Happy Passover Card

  • Unzip the download file.
  • Then open up Design Space and start a new project.
  • Click Upload and find where you saved the unzipped version of the downloaded files for this project.


  • Then go into the SVG Folder and select the SVG Files

  • Select all and
  • ungroup in design space
  • next select the dotted line
  • Happy Passover Card change dotted line to score line
  • change from basic cut to score line
  • next select the words
  • Happy Passover Card change words to pen
  • next select the dotted lines on the wafers
  • next select the one set of dotted lines and a wafer
  • Happy Passover Card attach wafer and lines
  • and click on
    design space attach button
  • next select the other set of dotted lines and the other wafer
  • and click on attach
  • then select the card, words and the score line

  • and click on
  • design space attach button
  • Then click on the Make It button
  • The prepare screen will appear

  • Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
    The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the cream Cardstock I used is medium weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
    Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut. 

Assembling the Happy Passover Card

  • Starting with the card piece
  • fold the card in half on the score line
  • next take the wafer pieces

  • put glue on the back of the smaller wafer piece and glue it to the larger one
  • do this for both wafers
  • next take the wine glass and wine
  • happy passover card wine and wine glass
  • put glue on the back of the wine and glue to the wine glass
  • next put foam dots/strips on back of the wafers and put the on the card
  • then take the wine glass and put foam dots/strips and put on the card
