Happy Shamrock Day Insert Card – A Fun and Glittery Cricut Craft for St. Patrick’s Day!

Let’s bring a little sparkle and luck into your card-making this St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ The Happy Shamrock Day card is another easy-to-make insert card that I just love crafting with my Cricut Maker. Whether you’re sending a little Irish cheer to a friend or using it as a festive decoration, this card is quick, cute, and oh-so-glittery.

You know me—I can’t resist adding a little shimmer to my projects! So of course, I had to use glitter cardstock for that bold shamrock cut-out on the front. It’s the perfect touch of magic for this holiday card.

What You’ll Need:

• Cricut Maker or Explore machine
• My Happy Shamrock Day Insert Card SVG Design #55
• Glitter card stock (green is classic, but go wild with rainbow or gold!)
• Solid card stock for the card base (I used white, but you can choose your favorite)
• Glue or double-sided tape (if needed)

Let’s Make It!

Step 1: Upload the Design

Open Cricut Design Space and upload the Happy Shamrock Day Insert Card SVG. The design includes a simple shamrock cut-out and pre-sized insert that fits perfectly into a 5×7 folded card.

Step 2: Choose Your Glittery Goodness

For the insert, I used a sparkly green glitter cardstock—it really makes that shamrock shape pop! You can also experiment with metallics or even multicolor glitter for a fun twist.

Step 3: Cut the Pieces

Load your cardstock on your mat and let your Cricut do the cutting. Be sure to select the correct settings for glitter cardstock (you may want to choose “glitter cardstock” from the material list and do a double cut if needed).

Step 4: Assemble the Card

Fold the base card along the score line. Slide the glitter insert into the slits inside the card—it fits snugly and securely without any glue (though you can add a dab if you want).

The shamrock design shines through beautifully with the glitter behind it—so simple and so festive!

Step 5: Customize It

Want to personalize your card? You can add your own message to the inside with pens, stamps, or even print your greeting and glue it in. Make it yours!
