Layered Bunny SVG

Do you like to make layered projects? The Layered Bunny SVG is a cute bunny that is made using various shades of brown, white, black and pink.

I love to watch the bunnies running around our courtyard during the spring and summer months. The layered bunny SVG reminds me of warmer weather and watching the bunnies.

Tools you’ll need

  • Medium Brown Cardstock
  • Light Brown Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Barely Arts Glue
  • Foam Strips
  • Foam Dots/Squares

Materials

  • Medium Brown Cardstock
  • Light Brown Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Foam Strips
  • Foam Dots/Squares
  • Glue

Tools

  • Cricut Maker
  • Brayer
  • Standard Cutting Mat
  • Spatula

Instructions

Cutting Out the Layered Bunny

Unzip the download file.

Then open up Design Space and start a new project.

Click

upload button

find where you saved the unzipped version of the downloaded files for this project.


Then go into the SVG Folder and select the SVG Files

select all and click on

ungroup in design space

Select all and change it to the size you want to cut out

Then click on the Make It button

The prepare screen will appear

Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the black cardstock, I used was Medium Weight on, you will need to select "Medium Weight Cardstock".
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut. 

Assembling the Layered Bunny

Starting with the bottom black layer

and the bunnys tail

put glue on the back of the tail and glue it on the bunny

next take the bunny body

and the bunny eye

put glue on the back of the bunny body where the eye goes and glue the eye on

then put foam strips/dots on the back of the bunny body and place it on top of the bunny

next take the bunny ears

put glue on the back and glue them on the bunny

then take the ear outlines

put glue on the back and glue them to the bunny

next take the front let pieces

put glue on the back of the cut out front leg and glue it to the solid front leg

then put foam strips/dots on the back and place it on the bunny

next take the bunny hind legs

put glue on the back of the cut out hind leg and glue it to the solid hind leg

then put foam strips/dots on the back and place it on the bunny
