🦅 A Stunning Patriotic Display
This layered eagle features the head and shoulders of a proud bald eagle, complete with six white cardstock layers, two brown layers, and a yellow beak. Around the eagle, I added greenery accents for an extra decorative touch. At the top of the design is a glittery red oval sign that says USA in white letters, offset in blue for extra dimension. It’s a bold and beautiful finishing detail!
The SVG can be resized to fit a shadowbox frame—I suggest 8″x8″, 10″x10″, or 12″x12″. I made mine to fit in a 10″x10″ frame, and it turned out perfect for summer and patriotic holidays.
🧵 How to Make the Layered Eagle Shadowbox
1. Upload and Resize the SVG
Open Cricut Design Space and upload the Layered Eagle SVG. Adjust the size to match your frame. I sized mine to 10″x10″ and it fit perfectly inside my shadowbox.
2. Cut the Cardstock Layers
Cut all the pieces from your selected cardstock. The eagle layers are white, brown, and yellow. Cut the greenery accents from green cardstock. For the “USA” sign, cut the oval from red glitter card stock, the bottom letters from blue, and the top letters from white for that fun offset look.
3. Assemble the Layers
Layer the eagle from bottom to top using foam tape or dots between each one to give it depth. Attach the greenery around the eagle and glue the oval “USA” sign at the top.
4. Frame It
Once everything is assembled, mount the design to a background piece of cardstock or patterned paper and insert it into your shadowbox frame.
🇺🇸 Display Your Patriotic Pride
The Layered Eagle Shadowbox is a fantastic addition to:
- 4th of July and summer decor
- A military or veterans’ tribute display
- A year-round patriotic gallery wall
- Gifts for military families or proud Americans
This project is both meaningful and fun to make—and looks amazing with just a few simple materials!
Make It Your Own
You can also customize the colors or background. Use metallics, holographic papers, or even camouflage for a military-inspired touch. Have fun with it and make it your own!
hope you enjoy making this Layered Eagle Shadowbox as much as I did. It’s one of those projects that makes you feel proud—not only because of what it represents, but because it’s such a beautiful finished piece.
Let me know if you create one—I’d love to see how yours turns out!
Happy crafting,
Carla
