Layered Love Ornament
The Layered Love Ornament is a pretty ornament you can cut out of foil card tock.
Description
The Layered Love Ornament cut files are easy to use with your Cricut or cutting machine.
The Layered Love Oranment Cut Files Includes:
SVG, PNG and DXF
Supplies You’ll Need:
- My Layered Love Ornament SVG – Design #129 (grab it from my shop!)
- Foil card stock (mix and match colors for extra pop!)
- Foam dots or strips (for that dimensional, layered look)
- Cricut cutting machine
- Barely Arts Glue (just a little for the top layer)
- Ribbon or twine (to hang it up or tie it on a gift)
If you’re like me and love all things shiny, you’re going to have a blast with this project. We’re using foil card stock, my Layered Love Ornament SVG, and of course, your trusty Cricut. This project is beginner-friendly, but still gives you that “Wow! You made that?” kind of vibe.
Let’s Get Crafty!
- Upload the SVG
Open up Cricut Design Space and upload my Layered Love Ornament SVG. Resize if you’d like, but I designed it to be a perfect size for ornaments and tags! - Cut the Layers
Use your Cricut to cut the design from foil cardstock. I love using contrasting foil colors—like gold and red, or silver and hot pink—for that festive look. Just be sure your mat is sticky enough so the foil cardstock stays put while cutting. - Assemble with Dimension
Now for the fun part—layering! Use foam dots or strips between each layer to give your ornament that gorgeous 3D effect. Start from the bottom layer and work your way up, lining everything up carefully. - Add a Hanger
Thread some ribbon or twine through the top hole, and your ornament is ready for its close-up!
Ways to Use It
- Hang it on your Christmas tree (obviously!)
- Tie it onto a wrapped gift for a heartfelt finishing touch
- Use it as a DIY tag for a handmade treat
- String a few together for a mini banner!
This Layered Love Ornament is such a sweet addition to any holiday décor—and it makes a great little keepsake. Whether you’re giving it as a gift or keeping it for yourself (no judgment—I always do!), you’ll love how easy and elegant it is to put together.
So go ahead, grab your card stock, cue up your Cricut, and let’s spread a little crafty love this holiday season!
Happy making! 💖
