This fun card will be a delight to receive for any Hogwarts fan. You can even change the wording on the card for other occasions. Instead of having your Cricut write the wording on using a pen you can also cut it out of HTV and iron on.
Materials Needed
You could also make your favorite wizard an awesome shirt using the stars and wand SVG’s, your own wording and HTV.
Don’t Forget to check the Cricut Heat Guide for ironing on the HTV and using your Easy Press.

Instructions
Cutting Out the Magical Birthday Card
- Unzip the download file.
- Then open up Design Space and start a new project.
- Click Upload and find where you saved the unzipped version of the downloaded files for this project.
Then go into the SVG Folder and select the SVG Files- Select all and
- next select the words
- change to pen
- Next select the dotted line
- change to score line
- then select the card, wording and score line
- then click on attach
- Then click on the Make It button
- The prepare screen will appear
- click on the yellow mat
- the click on mirror as the stars are cut out of HTV
- Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the green Cardstock I used is medium weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.
Assembling the Magical Birthday Card
- Starting with the card piece
- fold it on the score line
- next take the wand pieces
- glue the wand handle on to the wand
- then using foam strips or dots place on card to the left of the wording at an angle
- next tkae the stars cut out of HTV
- weed the stars using your weeding tool
- check the heat settings on the Cricut heat guide page
- using a mini heat press iron the stars on to the card
