For the people you like to give money or gift cards to for the holidays, create them a customizable envelope that can be decorated.


Learn to Create These Easy to Make Money and Gift Card Envelopes Using Your Cricut
The holiday season is a busy time of year and sometimes it is easier to give money or gift cards.
I wanted to create an envelope that you can use and decorate that doesn’t take a lot of time.

Materials Needed

Money Envelope/Gift Card Envelope
Equipment
- Cricut Maker or your favorite cutting machine
- Brayer
- Green Cutting Mat
Materials
- 1 Sheet of Cardstock – color of your choice
- 1 Sheet of Christmas Cardstock
- For Decorations
- 1 sheet of White Cardstock
- 1 Sheet of Red Cardstock
- 1 Sheet of Yellow Cardstock
- 1 Sheet of Green Cardstock
- Cricut Pen – color of your choice
- Double Sided Tape
- Glue
Instructions
- Step 1. Cutting Out the EnvelopesUpload the money envelope into design space
- Select all and ungroup
- Next select the score lines (except the smallest one)
- Change the dotted lines from basic cut to score
- Next select the score lines, the small basic cut line and the envelope
- Attach them
- Now you are ready to click on "Make It" and select your cardstock weight.
- For the gift card envelope
- Upload to design space
- click on ungroup
- Next select the dotted lines
- change them from basic cut to score
- Then select the score lines and the envelope
- and click on attach
- Now you are ready to click on "Make It" and select your cardstock weight
- For the decorations
- upload in to design space
- select all and ungroup
- Next if using the "To – From" piece
- Select the lines and letters
- Change from basic cut to pen
- Next select the gift tag
- and attach
- Now you are ready to click on "Make It"
Step 2. Assembling the Envelopes
- Starting with the envelope main piece

- fold them on the score lines
- Note the money envelope has a half circle at the top of it and the gift card envelope does not.
- Using double sided tape put the tape either on the flaps or the sides of the bottom of the envelope
- Fold the bottom piece of the envelope up so that it adheres to the flaps
- The half circle at the top of the money envelope will slip into the slit on the lower part of the envelope
- Now you are ready to add the panels to the back of the envelope

- Using double sided tape, put tape on the back of the upper panel and tape it to the top of the back of the envelope
- Next using double sided tape, put tape on the back of the lower panel and tape it to the bottom of the envelope back
- Now you are ready to decorate the front of the envelopes
- You can choose from any of the decorations provided to decorate your envelopes.
