Supplies You’ll Need:
- My Ornament Card SVG – Design #37 (available in my shop)
- Cricut machine (any model works!)
- Card stock (for the card base and envelope)
- Foil card stock (for the ornaments)
- Glitter card stock (for the snow accents on the ornaments)
- Washi tape (for the ornament hangers)
- Cricut Pen
- Cutting mat
- Cricut tools (weeding tool, scraper, etc.)
- Barely Arts Glue or double-sided tape
- Foam dots (optional, for added dimension)
Let’s Make It!
Step 1 – Upload Your SVG
Open Cricut Design Space and upload the Ornament Card SVG. Everything is already sized for you, but you can easily adjust the sizing if you want to make your card larger or smaller.
Step 2 – Choose Your Materials
Use regular cardstock for your card base and envelope. Cut the ornaments out of foil cardstock to give them that shiny, metallic holiday look. For the snow accents on the ornaments, use glitter cardstock — it adds the perfect frosty sparkle that makes the card feel extra festive!
Step 3 – Cut Your Pieces
Load your cardstock, foil cardstock, and glitter cardstock onto your cutting mat. Select the appropriate material settings in Design Space and let your Cricut machine do the cutting.
Step 4 – Assemble the Ornaments
Attach the foil ornaments to the card base using glue or foam dots for added dimension. Then glue the glitter cardstock snow pieces onto the tops of the ornaments to create that snowy, wintery effect. Finally, use small strips of washi tape above each ornament to make them look like they’re hanging.
Step 5 – Personalize the Inside
You can easily add your own holiday greeting inside the card. In Design Space, create a rectangle that is 4” x 6” and add your wording using the text tool. Cut the piece out of cardstock and glue it inside your card for a polished, finished look.
Step 6 – Make the Envelope
Don’t forget to cut and assemble the included envelope pattern using coordinating cardstock. Use glue or double-sided tape to put it together.
