Materials Needed
1. Upload and Cut the SVG
Start by uploading my Root Beer Float SVG to Cricut Design Space. Cut all the pieces out of your chosen card stock colors.
2. Ink the Edges
Use your ink pad to gently ink the edges of the whipped cream, foam, and mug pieces. This adds dimension and gives the card a bit of a vintage soda shop vibe. A light touch is all you need!
3. Assemble the Float
Begin by layering the float pieces. Use foam dots between some of the layers—like the whipped cream and the mug—to make your card pop.
4. Attach to Card Base
Once your float is assembled, adhere it to the front of your card base. You can center it or offset it to make room for a stamped sentiment or hand-written message.
5. Add Your Message
This card is so fun and unique, it doesn’t need much more—but a stamped or hand-lettered message like “You Float My Boat” or “Have a Sweet Day” makes it even more special.
