Shamrock Gnome Card

Create this easy to make Shamrock Gnome Card

With St. Patrick’s Day approaching I wanted to share with you this adorable Shamrock Gnome Card.

I used a couple of different shades of green for this card.

As a homemade card this will make a cute card to send your greetings to someone. As you can customize the wording inside the card. I love making homemade cards to send to family and friends.

Materials Needed

  • 1 Sheet of White Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Barely Pink Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Black Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Orange Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Medium Green Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Light Green Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Green Cardstock
  • Barely Arts Glue
  • Foam Dots

Shamrock Gnome Card

Equipment

  • Cricut Maker
  • Standard Cutting Mat (Green)
  • Brayer
  • Scoring Wheel or Stylus
  • Spatula

Materials

  • 1 Sheet of White Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Green Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Barely Pink Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Black Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Medium Green Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Orange Cardstock
  • 1 Sheet of Light Green Cardstock
  • Foam Glue Dots
  • Glue

Instructions

Cutting Out the Shamrock Gnome Card

  • Upload the Shamrock Gnome Card in to design space. Check to make sure the size is correct.

  • Select all and ungroup
  • Next select the dotted line

  • and change it from basic cut to a score line
  • Then select the dotted line and card

  • and attach them together
  • Now your shamrock gnome card is ready to be cut out

    Next you will click on "Make It" and the prepare mat screen will appear.


  • Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
    The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the orange Cardstock I used is medium weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
    Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.

Assembling the Shamrock Gnome Card

  • Starting with the card
  • Fold it on the score line
  • Set card aside
  • Next take the gnome body

  • then take the gnome shoes

  • put glue on the back of the gnome body

  • and glue the body to the shoes
  • then take the gnome hands

  • put glue on the front of the hands at the wrist and glue thme to the body
  • then take the gnome beard

  • Put glue on the back of the gnome beard and glue the beard to the gnome body

  • Then take the hat
  • Next put glue at the bottom of the back of the hat at the botton of the hat and glue to the top of the gnome body
  • Next take the gnome nose

  • put glue on the back of the nose
  • and glue the nose to the gnome beard
  • Next light green shamrock

    put glue on the back and glue it to the gnomes hat
  • Now you are ready to add your gnome to the card front
  • using foam glue dots put them on the back of the gnome
  • now place the gnome in the center of the card front
  • Next take the shamrocks
  • One of the large shamrocks I glued to the hand of the gnome.
  • you can put them on the front of the card or inside the card
  • I used foam glue dots and put them on the front of the card

  • Now your Shamrock Gnome Card is ready
