Mr Snowman
Mr. Snowman is all ready to help you celebrate winter with his festive hat and snowflakes embossed on his panels.
Description
The Mr. Snowman cut files are easy to use with your Cricut or cutting machine.
The Mr. Snowman Cut Files Includes:
SVG, PNG and DXF
Using my SVG and your Cricut, plus a touch of embossing magic with my Cricut Cuttlebug, I’ll show you how to make this winter-ready snowman that’s both cute and crafty.
A New Look for Mr. Snowman
When I originally created Mr. Snowman, he had a different vibe, but I recently gave him a fresh makeover—and I love how festive he looks now! He’s got a fun personality, sparkly details, and the best part: his hat comes off, so you can hide goodies inside. (Think peppermints, mini chocolates, or even a sweet note!)
This design comes with two face options included in the SVG file, so you can mix it up and create a whole family of snowmen if you’d like!
Supplies You’ll Need:
- My Mr. Snowman SVG Design #43
- Cricut Maker or other Cricut machine
- Cricut Cuttlebug (or any embossing machine)
- Snowflake embossing folder
- Cardstock in white, black, orange, and fun winter colors
- Glue or adhesive
- Foam dots (optional for extra dimension)
- Treats to hide under the hat
Let’s Get Crafty!
Step 1: Upload the SVG
Open Cricut Design Space and upload the SVG file. Choose your favorite snowman face or try both!
Step 2: Cut Your Pieces
Cut all the layers using your Cricut. I used white for the head, black for the hat, and red and blue accents to give him some winter cheer.
Step 3: Emboss the Panels
Here’s where the magic happens! I used a snowflake embossing folder and ran the snowman’s background panels through my Cricut Cuttlebug. It adds such a beautiful, frosty texture that really makes your snowman pop.
🌀 Tip: Lightly rub a bit of white ink or shimmer over the embossed snowflakes to make them stand out even more!
Step 4: Assemble
Layer the pieces together. I used foam dots behind the nose and hat band for a little dimension. The hat is designed to be removable, so don’t glue it down—just place it on top so it lifts off easily.
Step 5: Add a Surprise!
Tuck a small treat under Mr. Snowman’s hat for a fun surprise. He’s great as a gift topper, party favor, or cheerful winter display.
Dress up your snowman even more with ribbon, buttons, or glitter accents. You could even personalize the back with a name or date for a keepsake look.
