Materials

  • 2 Sheets of Banana Split Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11 65lb Cardstock Warehouse
  • 1 Sheet of White Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11
  • 1 Sheet of Blue Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11
  • 1 Sheet of Red Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11
  • 1 Sheet Cotton Candy Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11 65lb Cardstock Warehouse
  • 1 Sheet Black Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11
  • 1 Sheet Grey Cardstock 8 1/2 x 11
  • 1 Sheet of Accetate

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cutting Out the Sparkler EmojiFirst upload the yellow pieces and cut them out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • There are two yellow pieces cut files, this is so you can cut out two of the main face pieces. This is to give it more stiffness.
  • Next upload the the white pieces for the gloves and part of the eyes. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • You will need to select all and attach in order for the small slit in each glove to be in the correct place
  • Next upload the blue pieces for the sparklers and eyes and cut them out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Upload the red pieces for the sparklers and cut them out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Next upload the black pieces for the gloves and cut them out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Then upload the grey pieces for the sparklers and nose and cut them out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Upload the mouth piece and cut it out. Check to make sure the size is correct.
  • Step 2: Assembling the Sparkler EmojiNow that all of the various pieces are cut out, starting with the two yellow circles.
  • Take your glue and glue them together. We used two circles to give the emoji stiffness in case you want to use the little hanger at the top to display him.
  • Next take the white and blue circles for the eyes and glue them together.
  • Next take the various sparkler pieces, starting with the blue ones, glue the red ones on top of them. Next glue the yellow pieces on top of the red.
  • You will notice they are three different sizes. Once you have both sparkler tops assembled, you can now glue them on the grey stems at the top.
  • Take the sheet of acetate and cut out two (2) strips a little wider than the sparkler stems and from the top of the hand to the base of the firework. Approximately 2 1/2 inches long by 1/4 inch wide.
  • Using a piece of acetate, put double sided tape on the one side of the acetate, then place the sparkler stem on top of it.
  • Next take the gloves and glue the black pieces on them as shown in the photo below. I used a pick-me-up stick to help with gluing the small black pieces on the glove.
  • Once the black pieces are glued on the gloves you will notice that the gloves each have a slit in them so you can insert the sparkler stems into the hands from the top. After you have inserted the sparkler stem in to the glove, glue the stem to the back of the glove. Once the glue dries, using the double sided tape place some on the front of the glove just underneath the sparkler stem.
  • Now you are ready to assemble the face onto the head (yellow circle), as shown below.
  • Next glue each hand to the sides of the face.
  • Step 3: Display Sparkler EmojiNow that you have your sparkler emoji assembled, you can display it for the 4th of July.
