Christmas Truck with Ornaments
The old red truck has seemed to be all the rage the last few years. I was recently asked to design one for the holiday season and wanted to create one that was a little different from the others I have seen.
The Christmas Truck with Ornaments has two designs. You can either cut it out of card stock for a layered look or vinyl and make a picture.

Instructions
Step 1. Cutting Out the Christmas Truck with Ornaments
- Unzip the download file.
Then open up Design Space and start a new project.
Click Upload and find where you saved the unzipped version of the downloaded files for this project.
Then go into the SVG Folder and select the SVG Files - select all and
- then select the set of wheels you don't want to use
- and
- hide them
- Then click on the Make It button
The prepare screen will appear
Now if everything looks correct on it, click on the continue button
The next screen will be where you will select the type of card stock you are using. If you do not see the material in your material favorites, click on "browse all materials" to find the weight of cardstock that you are using. For example the red Cardstock I used is medium cardstock weight, you will need to select "Medium Weight"..
Once you have Design Space set, you are now ready to prepare your mat. I used a brayer when placing the Cardstock on the mat, this helps in making sure that the paper is adhered to the mat and will help in keeping the paper from ripping or moving when it is being cut.
Step 2. Assembling the Christmas Truck with Ornament
- starting with the green layer
- take the gray layer
- and put foam strips on the back of it
- and place it on the green layer
- next take the red layer of the truck
- and put glue on the back of it
- and glue it on top of the gray layer
- next take the gray door handle
put glue on the back of it and place it on the trucks door
then take the mirror piece
put glue on the back of it and glue it in place - next take the green tire pieces (if doing the holiday tires)
put glue on the back of them and place them on top of the white glitter tires
****optional if using the regular tires
take the black tire pieces
then take the gray medium size tire middles
put foam dots on the back and place in the middle of the black tires
then take the small light gray tire middles
put glue on the back of them and glue them to the centers of the tires
next take the white ornament tops
put glue on the back of them and glue them on the ornaments
set aside to dry - next take the back tire wheel well
put foam strips on the back of it and place it above where the tire goes - next take the front tire wheel well
- put foam strips on the back of it and place it above where the tire goes
- next take either set of tires you are using and put foam dots on the back of each tire and place it on the truck
- next take the hood overlay
- put foam strips on the back of it and place it on the hood of the truck
- next take the greenery
- starting with the larger pieces glue them on the back of the truck
- when you have the larger pieces glued on then glue on the smaller pieces to fill in
- ****note you can overlap some of the greenery on to the red truck as shown below
- next take the ornament pieces and put foam dots on the back of them
- place them on top of the greenery
- then take the boards on the back of the truck
- put foam strips on the bottom half
- then place on the truck covering up the greenery bottoms and part of the truck
