Materials Needed

  • White Cardstock
  • Cardstock for Star Overlay
  • Patriotic Cardstock
  • Red Foil Cardstock
  • Blue Foil Cardstock
  • Silver Foil Cardstock
  • Acetate
  • Barely Arts Glue
  • Double Sided Craft Tape
  • Foam Strips
  • Specialty Glitter or Diamond Dots
  • Design #175 in Free Library

For the backing of the shaker window, I used a blue cardstock with various blended shades, giving it a rich, dimensional look. You could also use a patterned 4th of July card stock—like the ones I found at Michael’s—to give your card even more festive flair. The mix of colors and textures really helps the shaker elements pop!
